I used to leave my pc on all the time and even didn't bother with lights very much since what I had heard and read said they didn't use a lot of electricity. Then I decided that it all adds up so it is important :)Cindyrellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14996323942772733695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1904785229889075616.post-53085401787610425632009-03-29T18:02:00.000+01:002009-03-29T18:02:00.000+01:00The storms in Cyprus made sure we saved enough ene...The storms in Cyprus made sure we saved enough energy for a year! ;0
seriously, this is a good idea.Glynis Peters https://www.blogger.com/profile/01175378917872403609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1904785229889075616.post-18764805427820801172009-03-29T03:17:00.000+01:002009-03-29T03:17:00.000+01:00I always love it when we are camping out in the bu...I always love it when we are camping out in the bush. It is so dark and the stars so bright.

When our son was little we lived on a farm and at night would often take a rug outside and just lie on our backs on the grass looking up at the sky and trying to find the different constellations.

I also try to remember to turn all our appliances off at the wall when not in use too as even the standby lights use electricity. I look in my computer room and there are lights for the router/modem, EHD, printer, sub woofer, tower, keyboard, monitor,etc.Kessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10104899716473509092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1904785229889075616.post-15992086982261935832009-03-28T23:30:00.000+00:002009-03-28T23:30:00.000+00:00We did our bit for Earth Hour. Hubby is involved with managing tall office towers so our night was spent at his work turning off all the office lights left on...there is so much wastage in office blocks with lights left on and no-one there.
It was great to go up 30 floors and see all the office blocks in the city who had turned off their advertising and office lights for the hour.
It still would have been even better to see 100% compliance....especially government office blocks.Judynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1904785229889075616.post-87642242747517059692009-03-28T11:47:00.000+00:002009-03-28T11:47:00.000+00:00That is so interesting. We could all do with some quiet alone time or enjoying family time. Great job on blogging, Chatty Kathy.
