Yes, I Mean No!

jsch_marymary_folder

This last week bacon and I have had a lot in common, we both jump into the frying pan often! Life as usual was confused last weekend...lots happening and my inability not to know when enough was enough. I love to say yes to things but sometimes my body just gently reminds me that I am not as close to super woman as I would like to be....well, not so gently sometimes! This week was one of those times.

I really have to practice saying "No", but I'm sure that you all understand how it happens, you open your mouth and out comes "Yes". How does it do that? The message in my brain starts as one thing but by the time it reaches my mouth....it's different. Personally I think there's a little gremlin in there who pulls the wrong lever just for the shear fun to see what chaos it can cause. My gremlin must have an overdeveloped sense of humour it does it so often. I'm sure that I must look surprised half the time when the word "Yes" pops out of my mouth, a bit like a puppy that discovers it can bark and scares itself when it first does it.

One of the good things at the weekend was my brother was visiting from Belgium with his kids and wife. It was lovely to see everyone again during the a big family lunch I did on Sunday. Lots of people, lots of cooking...but the good bit was everyone could chat and catchup over the meal. They don't make it over often and so the family all try to drop in over the weekend to see them.

My brother works in Brussels but they have a small farm with horse, sheep, chickens, pigs, llamas and alpacas. My SL breeds alpacas so they have quite a few!! My niece Sophie, who's seven, brought me a lovely basket with eggs she had gathered on Saturday morning before they left home....you can't get fresher than that!!

The children had grown so much since I last saw them. It's just unbelievable how fast children can sprout up. I swear that they are part human, part weed, somewhere along the evolutionary chain the weed gene must have crept in.

Now for scrapbooking......this week I have made a new kit as a gift that you can collect over the next three posts. It's called Mary, Mary a bit like the nursery rhyme. It's got some flowers, rikrak, curly frames, bell flowers and of course Mary! Take a look.

You can download Part 1 of Mary, Mary here

I've only done a 4Shared link today as I can't upload to Media Fire at the moment...not sure why. Sorry about that!!

Edit: You can download with Media Fire here

Well, I'm off..back to the grind stone. Drop back and collect the rest of the kit in the next two posts.

Thank you for the beginnings of what looks like a lovely kit.
You know the saying about always asking a busy person when you want a job done - that's because they are the ones to always say 'yes' !

So very pretty, can visualize many layouts with Lilly using this kit. Something else that you won't be able to say 'NO' to. Thanks for part 1.

Your life sounds just as crazy as mine... so many good things to choose from!
Alpacas? How cool! We started looking into that a couple of years ago but is there really any profit in it?
What an adorable kit, Mary Mary!
I LOVE it :)
Thank YOU!

I agree we all want to hear what you said yes too! lol

I was just thinking and was going to ask you when you were going to do another nursery rhyme kit! So I was so excited to see this post today.

BTW, to answer your post on my blog, unfortunately, I was not the one that posted about my DS's leg problems (he doesn't have any, thankfully). Sorry, I hope you figure out who it was and see if they got any answers. :-)

Oh, my! That is a lot of people for company! But, it had to be wonderful with you hosting! That's why everyone had such a nice time. You! LOL It isn't much consolation, I know. But, there it is.

The new kit is precious! I have been in the mood for soft and pretty. Thank you. After the NSD and, then, Mother's Day, I'll take 'low key' for a while, thank you, very much. LOL Another enjoyable read to brighten my eve. Thank you for that.

BTW, I meant to tell you, the other day when you had that photo of Charlie 'wigging out' next to that precocious little Lily(sp?) of yours, he looked just like our dog, Bear. Bear was a cocker spaniel mix and was the spittin' image of Charlie. He was my son's dog when he was a boy. Bear is no longer with us, but, he was such a presence, it is like he is still around.

Bear had a really silky 'banner' of hair trailing from his tail. When his tail was up, it looked like a flag waving in the breeze, only it was that whitish-blonde color. Bear never let my son out of his sight, so, when I needed to find my son outside, all I had to do was look for that flag waving. He-he. Funny thing. Every now and then, I catch what looks like that flag out of the corner of my eye and look. It isn't him, of course. But, that is the lasting impression he left. Such a good dog. Lily is lucky. I hadn't thought of that in years until you posted that photo. Thanks, June, for the good memories. (I'm smiling BIG)

Hugs,

Su

You do the same as me June..yes, I mean no, I mean yes :)

June, June, June!!! What you need to practice is this little phrase I perfected some years back. "Let me give that some thought and I'll get back to you"? Repeat until perfect, practice often. Then get back to them and say, "sorry but I'm afraid not as I have..." insert the following, the plague, flu, piles, broken leg, other commitments or perhaps even the truth! Otherwise you will turn into a frayed knot!!!! :D

Wow - farm fresh eggs - how lovely. I really miss having chickens. Hubby is going to build me a movable chicken house so I can put it in a different place each day so the chickens can fertilize and eat the grass at the same time...lol.

Thank you so much for sharing this new kit with us. Hugs to you, Keryn
