Stamped Frame, CU OK and some Forgotten Dreams

jsch_stampedframe

Ok, so are you all surviving the blog train and collab kit? That was some downloading, the hard drives must be bulging!!

Yesterday saw me having a mild flaky...well a large wobbly is more like it!! I went to get something off one of my external hard drives and it cheerfully told me "cannot find drive", aah!! Panic attack, panic attack!! Breath, breath!!

The next few minutes were fraught..that's putting it politely. I had cold sweats, hot flushes, rapid breathing and waves of panic..sounds a bit like the menopause, lol!! But...on closer investigation I discovered that the connection to my tower had just come loose....silly woman that I am!! The relief was HUGE!! Then I remembered that I had just backed it up, so my hysteria was wasted anyway!!! I need to make sure in future that I have my brain engaged before I start to panic!!

Today is a Commercial Use freebie and I have a new kit!!I finally decided that perhaps I should do a vintage sort of heritage kit. I deal in vintage information all the time but don't seem to make many heritage kits recently....so here it is, Forgotten Dreams!!

Have a look at the preview, I've added an extra image just of the papers so that you get a clearer look at them....these previews are so crowded, lol! If you like what you see then it is 40% off in my shops, as it's new...but hurry and grab the offer whilst it's on.

The kit consists of:
12 textured papers - 3 plain and 9 patterned (see the separate preview for a closer look)

33 elements - 6 bows, 5 ribbons, 1 lace, 1 gold border, 1 ink well, 1 feather, 2 Victorian cards, 1 pendant, 1 jewelled brad, 1 padded heart, 4 flowers, 3 frames, 2 word tags, 2 silhouette tags, 2 journaling blocks.

Today's freebie now. For those of you who snagged the Stamped Border that I had as a CU freebie a few weeks ago, good news.....I have a stamped frame to go with it for today's freebie. I hope someone out there can use it!!

You can download the Stamped Frame here

And we're not done yet!

I have some lovely layouts I must share!! The first two are heritage layouts done with Forgotten Dreams and they are wonderful!

kim

This one is by Kim and it is an ideal heritage page, dates, photo and lots of beautiful little touches of elegance. A stunning page!!

debi_Forgotten_post

Debi has made this layout so soft and aged it really goes so well with that photo. I love the cluster! Great work on this!

How's this for a cute little lady and a brilliant page!! This is an other little Lili and she is as lovely as my Lilly. Bettina made this layout of Lili's practice run for Halloween and she has done a great job dressing up the Harvest Time Frame. I love the ribbon and journaling she has added it's a great touch and really personalises it!! Love it and Lili!

The week has flown and I have not been able to fly as fast as it's gone by! I need wings on my heels and a pair of running shoes, lol! But I have just put a new kit in the shop at Scrappin Digi Kreations and it's a bit different for me..so I hope you all will like it. It's called little Weeds and it's a little shabby, a little grungy and a little cute!! And...I have a little Page Kit in a similar style as the freebie for today which I hope you'll be able to use.

And here's the new kit!

And I have to tell you............

The sun is shining, I can't quite believe it..sun...two days in a row. No, I haven't gone on holiday, I'm still in England!! So, lucky me will take the afternoon off and it's the garden for me!! I haven't blinked all morning..no chance...if I do it might vanish!! Lol!

Last night we had the biggest spider yet in the house..and yes, it was just next to my computer! So, as my DH was out I cornered my son and asked him to move it for me. I just hate spiders!! By this time I had my knees pushed firmly together..I didn't want it running up my trouser leg!! The shivers were going down my spine just looking at it and that creeping feeling was washing over my skin.

Armed with a paper he went to whack it....."Stop!! Don't kill it!! He looked at me as if I was insane and sighed. Tactics changed...he slowly edged the paper to get it under it..but that stupid spider was having none of it!! Ungrateful thing!!

After 10 minutes he gave up and got a glass...but could that thing move!! It's legs were so long I could see it's little trainers, lol!! By now my son was having a serious sense of humour breakdown and the spider was in serious trouble. He decided the only speedy solution was to jump on it...aah! He jumped and I screamed (yes, I know..I'm a whooze!). Poor boy I scared the life out of him..so, he slipped on the mat and bang, down he went! Ouch!

He didn't get really mad until I yelled "Oh my god, you haven't hurt it have you?" That was it!! He left me to the spider's tender mercy...the spider I might add was looking good, not a dent in sight. I never said I wanted him to hurt it....only move it!!!So now I am in the doghouse....yet again!!

OK, now for today's little bit of trivia:

Did you know that a driver will on average lock themselves out of their car nine times during their driving lifetime... OK, I've used my quota already so some other lucky person will get less, lol!!

But for now the garden is waiting and so I'm off!! have a great day and I hope the sun shines for you too!

New Kit and a New Freebie

Hi..I'm back. Well, I cam back on Sunday evening as planned from my Holland trip. Monday was busy!! I was rushing around all day, I do rushing quite well having had so much practise. My emails had mounted up and were almost overflowing out of the PC!! How do they do that? I was still trying to do three things at once in the evening...until I forgot that when you turn quickly and move away...your feet need to turn first. OK, so it's elementary...I know..but my mind was three steps ahead of my body and the body just didn't catchup!! So bang down I went!! The result was a really sore hand..with rather large sausage fingers, lol!! I look like I borrowed them from a friend...a friend who was several times larger than me, lol!! So Tuesday was a no day as it was my right hand the one I use most......especially for falling!! Wednesday I was back after some painkillers and a support but the support irritated me so much that I took it off......that was when I think I irritated the fat sausages more than the support had got to me!! OK, so I thought they couldn't get much bigger...wrong...again!! Last night they had excelled themselves and if it hadn't been that they hurt so much I could have sworn they weren't mine...but they were, unfortunately!! So today I am treating them with a little more respect in the hope that I can get my old fingers back...these ones have attitude..and they don't fit on my hand!!! So it's one finger, left handed typing today and it is so slow..I don't do slow!! I suppose I have to accept it will be a whole morning job at this rate. I did try to persuade my DH that he would type for me...that didn't last long as he kept trying to "adjust" my wording!!! So back to one finger!! Lol!!

Today's freebie is one I had made a couple of weeks ago and I hope you like it. It reminds me of the nursery rhyme "Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow" Hence the title.
The papers a little grungy and I used some of my little flower faces doodles. I told my DH that I had made some grungy papers and he thought I was saying I was grumpy...me? As if I would, lol!! Poor man must have thought he was in for a hard ride!! But it was worth the misunderstanding to see the look of relief when I told him he had misheard, lol!!

You can download them here

Got to tell you about my new Kit. It is in the shop at Studio Stlye designs and yes for the first week it's 40% off as usual! It's called Summer Chicklettes. I just loved those little ladies and so I thought I would do an updated version with Lilly in mind. It's full of summer colours, scalloped edges and felt bits. You get a choice of two different frames which I think makes it more versatile. Have a look.

Summer Chicklettes 40% off this week

I did a fast little layout of Lilly last week using the kit and as usual she looked great..that cute little face!! I wish I had her skin..perhaps I shouldn't wish for that...I already have a strangers fingers and that's not working too well!! Lol! It's a pretty basic layout but for me Lilly's picture makes it one worth keeping!
I have been really lucky and Jessica, Kim and Linda have done fantastic layouts trying out the new kit, they put mine to shame, lol!!. First is Kim's and what a bright fun page it is!! I love the word art and the way she has used the little felt butterflies. This picture is just perfect!! A beautiful layout Kim!!

Jessica used the two types of frames and what a brilliant job she made of it!! The scalloped heart looks great tucked just behind the frames. I love the pictures and those lovely little faces! The folded paper edge works so well here Jessica, nice touch! A lovely page!
Linda's layout has some great extraction on it. It's clever how she did it, that baby is just popping out of the frame, lol! I love how she used the papers too. It looks like it was a great birthday. Thanks Linda for an other great layout!!

Before I go Kim has a brilliant freebie kit on her blog called My Guy. Ideal for fathers Day, don't you just love those colours!! Drop by and snag it!!OK, so my one finger type is getting too big a bore..so I am away!! See you all soon and remember when you turn...feet go first, lol!!
