Monday Challenge - Its a Strange one!!

Hi All! This I am feeling a good bit better, I can sit still and not keep rushing to the bathroom ...got to be an improvement!! Needless to say nothing much got done this weekend as I was otherwise engaged for most of it. I am going to try and post as much as I can this evening and catch up a bit, so bear with me!!
I do still have a challenge for you...for those of you who like a challenge!! You may or may not know that I am a Family History Researcher and as such I have a keen interest in family trees. That's what gave me the idea for this weeks challenge you don't need to treat it as a heritage heritage one though if you have different ideas then go for it!! I want to see those imaginations running riot!!
The deal: you get a choice of a png file (coloured) or a template (black and white) for you to choose which you want to work with. The idea is you can add what you want to them and make your layout based on one of these, either making a family tree layout or fill the frames with word art/ paper or photographs...the choice is yours!! A bit different from the usual but change is good for your imagination and so is a new challenge!! So lets see what you can do!! If I get no takers...well then I know I have pitched this one all wrong.

The rules are:

1. Make a layout using either the png file or the template, you can add any kit or elements you wish to complete the layout.
2. It need not be a heritage layout or family tree...it can be something totally different, the choice is yours. Lets see your imagination go!!
3. Send me a link or a copy of your layout by next Monday 7 April to june.schutrups@btinternet.com
4. Please include any credits for items used in your layout so that I can list them and give the designers full credit.

Here are the files for you to choose from.

Last weeks Overlay Challenge has produced some real gems!! There are lots of layouts today as I did not get to post some on Friday but I just had to share them with you!!
Dorys has produced a stunner! Great use of the overlay and I love the frame! Add the journaling over the corner of the photo works well too..nice touch Dorys!! Your daughter looks so cute in the photo, look at those eyes!!

The next one is simplicity itself but really effective!! Stacy has used this gorgeous photo and added the overlay. It enhances the photo without taking any attention away from the lovely picture. A stunning result!!

Connie tells me this is her first try with an overlay and what a fantastic result!! She has used it so well here. I love how you have brought the detail out on it Connie and that photo is beautiful...you certainly got the title correct too!! Great job!!

Leonna has used a similar technique to Stacy and again it has worked beautifully. I love the way she has made the overlay compliment the photo without overwhelming it. Brilliant Leaonna!!!

Spring leaps out of Kim's layout, with the beautiful daffodils and spring colours! I love the quote and arrow...great addition Kim! Again the overlay looks great and is a wonderful addition to a beautiful layout!

Wow! This is a post and a half June.

Glad to hear you're feeling better. Sounds like a nasty bug.

Love those templates. They'll make great family trees. And The layouts you've posted are super too.

Thanks a lot for using my Word Art. I love to see examples of where people have used it.
